I Wish I Was Better At - I'm Thankful I'm Good At

Found this on Leah's blog.  An interesting introspective activity.  So here it goes.

I wish I was better at . . .
- Apologizing when I am wrong
- Putting the needs of others first
- Not procrastinating my school work
- Freaking EXCEL!!!
- Managing my time better
- Answering the phone, returning voice mail, and texts.  :)
- Getting the laundry folded and put away
- Not being so negative about myself
- Having a better attitude about getting up early
- Getting the mail (I hate getting the mail, and seriously do it about every ten days)
- Making dinner
- Drinking less Diet Coke (something I wish for, but will never change - just sayin')
- Hanging up my clothes in the closet, instead of piling them on my dresser
- Cataloguing the pictures I take in actual albums
- NOT needing so many surgeries
- Controlling my facial expressions.  Kathryn is always reminding me: "Control your face!"
- Letting the people I love know how much I love them
- Wanting to work out - because, I just don't!
- Taking my dogs on walks
- Not shutting down and building walls
- MATH
- Being less anxious
- Spending more time with my kids
- Not having so many food/eating issues
- Not wanting to deal with tedious, irritating issues, like phone calls to insurance companies.
- Remembering things I need to do for people
- Saying no when I need to say no
- MATH
- Having trust in people
- Turning off my mind!!
- Visiting my out-of-state family and friends
- NOT speeding.  And not getting tickets
- MATH
- Spending money on things I never wear, or wear only once

I'm thankful I'm good at . . .
- Loving my kids more than anything else
- Giving my sweet puppies the best life possible
- Expressing what I think and feel through words and writing
- Being a good friend
- Desiring to be an excellent student
- Setting goals, and attaining those goals
- Staying positive, despite the odds
- Wanting to spend time with my parents and sisters
- Cleaning my house
- Being a Full-Time Arts Philanthropist (aka, president of  Utah Voices)
- Singing
- Listening, caring, having empathy
- Taking pictures
- Doing hair and makeup
- Typing fast and accurately
- Sitting up straight
- Being in charge, being a leader
- Reading
- Having a vision, and carrying out that vision
- Being very patriotic, showing my love and immense pride in and for my country
- Knowing the world isn't black and white
- Public speaking
- Loving to lay in the sun
- Shop for baby clothes, even though I can't have any more babies
- Being tolerant and open minded
- Cooking, even though I don't do it that often.
- Going to lunch with friends
- Singing at the top of my lungs in my car
- Not being a picky eater
- Drinking lots of Diet Coke (oh wait, didn't that already appear on the list above...?)
- Staying in touch with friends
- Feeling close to God through music and singing
- Shooting guns
- Caring about what goes on in the world around me

Juliann, I loved reading this and getting to know you better. It's nice to know there are things you don't excel at! There are so many things I admire about you Juliann. I am so thankful to know you and have you as my cousin and friend.
